| TEEN BOAT BUILDING SCHOOL June 22-27, 2009, 9-4PM Teens will learn how to make their own canoe with the help of instructors from the Chesapeake Wooden Boat Builders School. Spend the whole week building it and get ready to paddle on the sixth day! Space is limited. Registration and Orientation meeting is required. Call for application.

SUMMER CAMP BY THE BAY
July 6-10, 2008 (entering grades 4&5)
July 13-17, 2008 (entering grades 6-9)
9AM-4PM
Explore the rich natural and cultural resources of the Bay right in your own backyard! Campers will explore the area of the Chesapeake Bay and Susquehanna River through hands-on activities involving history, archaeology, and ecology. Field trips and a sleepover are planned. Space is limited to 12 students per week. Call for your application. Register by June 15th. Orientation meeting is required.

Discover history in your own backyard. Dig into the past using archaeological techniques and find out about the first people on the Bay. What was life like 100 years ago, 400 years ago or even earlier? Explore how these early settlers used the natural resources of the Chesapeake Bay region to make their living as you recreate your own settlement and make your own shelter. Learn about the skills needed for hunting, fishing, and farming as you explore the lives of the Susquehannocks. Enjoy daily hikes, hands-on activities, traditional games, and craft activities. Special Sleepover Night on Thursday.14th.
