The founders of the Maritime Museum believed strongly in the importance of preserving the history, skills, and traditions associated with this region. So strongly, in fact, they were able to attract like-minded members to raise enough funds to bring the Museum to fruition. Now that the Museum is a reality, we must continue to attract new members to build upon the important work begun in 1988.
