This FREE lecture by Shonn Moore will explore the nature, history and geography of the "White Continent" in the centennial of Shackleton’s expedition.

Antarctica is many things: Untamed. Remote. Otherworldly. Awesome. Historically significant. A journey to Antarctica is one of the most exhilarating adventures still available to intrepid travelers. There are many reasons to visit Antarctica: experiencing raw nature, unique wildlife, and ice defying description; learning first hand of the history of the Heroic Age of Exploration; honing photography skills; and the thrill of adventure travel, like crossing the dreaded Drake Passage. This presentation will cover these topics in a photo-guided manner, taking the viewer to one of earth’s last truly wild places.
