Join us at the Environmental Center for a hands-on family-friendly class to learn about S.A.V or Submerged Aquatic Vegetation. Find out what makes S.A.V so important to the ecosystem of the Chesapeake Bay and learn more about the native species in Maryland. With a short walk along the promenade (weather permitting) see how the S.A.V contribute to the ecosystem right outside the Maritime Museum!
This learning experience will be best received by anyone 5 years old and up. Parents must accompany children. To ensure that the class goes smoothly, please arrive at least 5 minutes early.
Pre-registration is required - classes fill up quickly. Though pre-payment is not required, we encourage you to do so to guarantee a spot in the class. The cost is $5 per person. Admission to the Maritime Museum is FREE with the purchase of the class.
