Join the Environmental Center for a fun and interactive family class about the unique nature of owls, including their traits, sounds, and habitats, along with some history, myths and beliefs about them. Owls carried powerful symbolism in Native American cultures, and even played an important role on the Underground Railroad. We’ll focus on native owls of the Chesapeake Bay area, comparing them to other birds of prey. Learn about these mysterious night birds to get into the Halloween spirit, and to truly appreciate these majestic creatures.
